Dream Pivot
An AI career coach that turns "what does AI mean for my job?" into one task a day.
Where to get it
What it is
Dream Pivot is for people who suspect AI is about to change their job and would rather have a plan than a panic. Its own site says it best: for anyone "super curious about AI, laid off, bored, stuck, or just paying attention."
You answer a few honest questions and can add a CV or LinkedIn profile. The app comes back with nine paths: three skills, three ways to bring AI into the job you have, and three career pivots. All nine are free to read. Pick one and you get a plan between 7 and 365 days long, one task a day.
I designed and built the app on my own: the screens and flows, the app itself, the Firebase backend, plan generation with Gemini, and subscriptions through RevenueCat. I also made the store screenshots and feature graphics, and worked closely with the client to get the terms and privacy policy right for App Store and Google Play rules.
The first version was ready in a month and a half, working closely with the founders.
- Challenge
- There is no fixed course. Each new week of a plan is written by Gemini after a quick reflection on the last one, so the app has to generate, save and schedule content week by week, with reminders, on top of an intake that can read a CV or LinkedIn profile.
- Stack
- Impact
- Live on Google Play for Dream Pivot Ltd, iOS in App Store review. Four plans, from a free 7-day Sprint to a 365-day Reinvention, sold as subscriptions through RevenueCat.
What's inside
A report worth reading.
It starts with eight minutes of honest questions; a CV or LinkedIn profile is optional. What comes back is a personal pivot report: your profile, your unfair advantages, and nine possible futures across three tiers. All nine are free to read.
Skills you could have in a week.
The first tier is Sprints: one nameable AI skill, seven days, seven tasks, free. The 90-day plans and full Pivots sit one tab over.
A plan written week by week.
Every week ends with thirty seconds of feedback, and Gemini writes the next week from it. That's why the plan screen says "written so far".
One task a day.
Home shows today's task, why it matters and what good looks like, with your streak and how far through the plan you are.
Free to start, paid to go long.
The 7-day Sprint is free with no card; an email address creates the account and saves every plan. Longer plans are subscriptions handled by RevenueCat, which keeps Android and iOS billing in one place. Gentle reminders keep people going.
The same app on iPad.
One codebase, laid out for the bigger screen rather than stretched.
